A Message to the Sangat
Respected Guru Pyari Sadh Sangat Jio,
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
Keeping the spirit of Seva (selfless service) at the forefront, for the past 11 years, the Guru Nanak Yatra Society Canada has been taking a Jatha (group) of Sangat from Canada, the USA, and the UK every year on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Diwas (Vaisakhi) and in November for the Avtar Purab of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, to visit the historical Gurdwaras in Pakistan that were separated from the Sikh Panth.
To seek the blessings of the Satguru and pray for the Chardi Kala (high spirits) of the Sikh Sangat, Sri Sehaj Path Sahibs are organized at various holy sites every year, with the Bhog ceremonies held in the presence of the Sangat, and Ardas is performed at the Guru's feet for the health and prosperity of all Sangat and their families.
During the Yatra, at whichever holy site we visit daily, Paath of Japji Sahib, Chaupai Sahib, or Rehras Sahib is recited collectively by the Sangat according to the time of day, and Ardas is performed. Even during the journey in the luxury buses, Gurbani Paath, Kirtan, or religious discourses continuously take place, ensuring the entire journey is conducted in a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
"The Guru's Hukam is
'Kehbe Kau Sobha Nahi Dekha Hi Parvan'
(Glory is not in just saying, but in seeing and experiencing). If you have doubts, please join the Jatha with your family at least once, and you will experience it yourself."
By the grace of the Sangat's love and prayers, the size of the Jatha grows every year. The Sangat shows so much love that many individuals join us annually, and many have traveled with me more than once. Just as Hajj in Mecca is essential for a true Muslim, visiting and bathing in the holy sarovars of Sri Nankana Sahib and Sri Darbar Sahib is similarly essential for every Sikh. Every Sikh should, at least once in their lifetime, visit these separated shrines of the Sikh Panth and the birthplace of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji along with their family.
By traveling with our Jatha, you will feel a sense of immense joy and belonging. We arrange Darshan of more than 25 Gurdwara Sahibs, including Sri Nankana Sahib, Sri Panja Sahib, and Sri Kartarpur Sahib, along with visits to the Shahi Qila (Lahore Fort), Minar-e-Pakistan, sightseeing in Lahore and Islamabad, and shopping in Anarkali Bazaar.
Your siblings, relatives, and friends living in India or anywhere else in the world can also join you on this Yatra. Keeping the comfort of the Sangat in mind, we provide accommodation in top-quality hotels, vegetarian meals, travel in AC Deluxe buses, and strict Z-Security arrangements. Bookings are open, so contact us now to reserve your seat.
